Prince, who died Thursday at 57, will be remembered for many things: his music, his style, and thanks to Chappelle’s Show, his basketball skills.
In a February 2004 episode of the Comedy Central sketch show’s second season, comedian Charlie Murphy told a story about the time he met Prince. Dave Chappelle stepped into those purple shoes to portray the singer, and he invited Murphy, his famous brother Eddie (sadly only seen from behind), and their crew back to his house.
What ensued was a one-of-a-kind pick-up game and delicious post-game meal.

Prince seemed to take the joke in stride, so much so that he used a photo of Chappelle’s impersonation of him as cover art for his 2013 single, “Breakfast Can Wait.”
